OVERVIEW

 

The SC membership has been designed to represent each of the “historic” RSA Regions for a total population of 17.  A simple majority of members are those individuals who are appointed to their respective state SRC, while the minority population is comprised of staff who work specifically for their Council. 

The Steering Committee was created to assure the organizational development and direction of the NCSRC.

New SC members were elected at the April 2010 Spring Sunday Session in Bethesda.  The new NCSRC officers are: Marlene Malloy - Chair (Michigan General Staff); Sherry Taylor – Vice Chair (West Virginia General Staff); Theresa Hamrick – Secretary (Oklahoma General Staff); and Pam Stratton – Treasurer (Alaska Combined Member).  

The NCSRC “at large” members are:  Jeff Davis (North Dakota General Member); Lee Gordon (Kentucky Statewide Council for Rehabilitation Member); Rhoda Hunter (Oregon General Staff); Gwendolyn Powell (Virgin Islands Rehabilitation Council Member); Karen Stanfill (Texas Combined Member); and Linda Vegoe (Wisconsin General Member). 

An “Ex – Officio” position has been created for those persons who would bring specific talents to the SC work.  Two individuals fill this position: Steve Ditschler (Minnesota General Representative), who brings four years of experience as past-chair of the NCSRC and Graham Sisson (Alabama Staff for Combined Agency), who lends his legal skills.

  • NCSRC National Advocacy - national implementation (in lieu of further study) of a permanent SSDI 1-for-2 program.
