The following teams were established with the charge for each group directly related to the Strategic Plan goals.  As of April 2008, each team's workplan is under development.

NCSRC CAPACITY BUILDING TEAM (CAT)

 

CHARGE: Increase the capacity of SRCs through education & training.

NOTE:  WORKPLAN ACTIVITIES ARE IN PROCESS

DRAFT ACTIVITES:

1. LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

2. LEGISLATIVE MANDATES
    - Conducting a Needs Assessment
    - Partnering with the VR agency
    - Writing Section 4.2 of the State Plan for VR
    - Negotiating a Resource Plan with the VR State Director

3. DETERMINE TRAINING NEEDS
     - Utilize findings from RSA SRC Training Needs Assessment
     - Contact with RSA for future interaction with Georgia State and  San Diego State Universities

4. ESTABLISH PARTNERSHIPS WITH RCEPS
      - Training needs & opportunities
      - Website development

     - Establish site
     - Include: web based training, links to other SRCs, best practices, FAQ, Orientation for members and chairs, Open Forum/Chat Room, NCSRC Organizational information, and listserv interaction, etc.    

4. Identify SRC Best Practices
     - Explore promising practices relative to new member orientation & training
     - Draft proposal to RSA Commissioner to study SRC best practices through an IRI
